Cornforth White & Off Black Kitchen Spraying in Two Tones
Here's a stunning kitchen spraying project we completed a few weeks back for a local customer based in Skelbrooke near Doncaster. Previously a tired solid oak kitchen, these doors, drawers and units were prepared and finished in two different tones, Cornforth White and Off Black by Farrow and Ball. We love the contrast in the colours in this kitchen; the balance between the dark marble worktops, the remaining wood and the stainless steel appliances and handles. We think it’s a great combination and the customer was thrilled with the end result. Choosing a colour for your revamped kitchen can sometimes be incredibly difficult, but don’t worry, we have thousands of photos from previous customers to help you decide, and we are happy to give you our recommendations based on the light in your room, other furnishings, your tastes and the overall desired effect.
The colours used in this kitchen, especially Cornforth White, are understated but still provide a hint of warmth, modern yet soft. Sometimes greys from other paint brands can look cold and clinical but Farrow and Ball do greys fantastically well. Cornforth White is a mid-tone, neutral colour that’s incredibly popular with our kitchen spraying customers. It’s really versatile and is neither too warm nor too cool, creating a hushed but calming ambience. When combined and contrasted with Off Black, again from Farrow and Ball, it creates a neutral palette to bounce accent colours and other textures off in the kitchen. A soft black, it is much more flattering to adjacent colours than stronger blacks because it feels so much milder in tone and has none of the underlying cooler hues. In different lights and sunlight, Off Black has super subtle undertones of blue, adding another dimension to your kitchen.
